Troop 97 Uniforms

Below you’ll find the description of the Troop Uniforms and also local Scout Shops where uniforms can be purchased.

Troop 97 wears the Field Uniform, also known as “Class A”, to all Troop Meetings* as well as when traveling to and from camping or other outings. The Troop performs regular Uniform Inspections which count toward Patrol Points. Be sure to be in a clean, sharp looking “Class A” when presenting yourself for Scoutmaster Conferences or Boards of Review for rank advancements. *During Troop Activity Nights the Activity Uniform, also known as “Class B” is worn.

Why the Uniform?

The Boy Scouts of America has always been a uniformed body. Its uniforms help to create a sense of belonging. They symbolize character development, leadership, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Wearing a uniform gives youth and adult members a sense of identification and commitment.
